Resolutions. We all have them. Do we all stick to them? Probably not. It’s a hard thing to do. We often set such high goals and expectations that we’re also setting ourselves up for failure. Instead of choosing one enormous, colossal, monumental, often unattainable resolution this year, choose 3 simple, easy, healthy, and completely attainable habits – drink more water, get enough sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast with Post® Mom’s Best® cereals

Drink More Water

Water is essential for our health. There is disagreement among many as to the exact amount of water we should drink each day. The 64-ounce rule is no longer the norm. Replacing high-calorie drinks with plain water can help control appetite and weight and help improve your energy level.

I make sure to carry water with me wherever I go. Having your own water on hand makes drinking water easy peasy. Having water within reach makes me more likely to sip on it instead of soda or other drinks. Get Enough Sleep

So, it is obvious that sleep is beneficial to all. We know that going without sleep for too long makes us feel horrible and that getting a good night’s sleep can often make us feel like we can take on the world.

I know that getting enough sleep when you have small children seems next to impossible, but it can be done. To get the best sleep ever make sure to cut out caffeine a few hours before bedtime, make sure your room is dark, and put down your phone!

Eat a Healthy Breakfast

I know that breakfast time can be a bit chaotic especially when you have children. Getting them dressed, fed and out the door for whatever the day may bring if difficult enough. Remembering to feed yourself a healthy breakfast is easily forgotten.

My go to is always cereal. It’s simple and can be super nutritious. The problem is that many days I just don’t have the time to sit down and eat a bowl of cereal. There have been days I find myself grabbing a toaster pastry just because it’s a great choice to eat on the run. It’s not the healthiest, though.
