We have serious cabin fever here at The Triplet Farm. On Tuesday I seriously (seriously) contemplated running away. It was that bad, friends. We’re visiting family this weekend so hopefully some fresh air and fun will do us all some good.
When I’m not planning my getaway I’ve been watching Z: The Beginning of Everything, working on my first eBook, and making Valentine’s Day printables! I’ve also been finalizing 4th birthday plans and starting to plan our family vacation this summer.

one | z: the beginning of everything
This Amazon Prime series came out in 2015. I just happened upon it recently while browsing for something new to watch. Have you seen it? Gah. I love it!
It tells the story of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald (wife of F. Scott Fitgerald), the brilliant and beautiful Southern Belle who became the original flapper and icon of the wild and vibrant Jazz Age. It a love story filled with tragedy.
Have you read anything by F. Scott Fitzgerald?
two | my ebook: 30 days to a better mom a better you
I have finally started working on my first e-book! This is something that I have wanted to do for some time now but just haven’t had the opportunity.
It’s titled 30 Days: A Better Mom A Better You and I am hoping to have it finished by the end of February. It will be filled with inspiration and information on how to be a better mom you must take care of yourself first.
Here’s a sneak peek at the cover!
three | valentine’s day printables
I also sell prints on The Triplet Farm Shop. Right now you can get any one FREE using code “bemine” at checkout.
four | 4th birthday party finalizing
So, my last Friday Five I mentioned I’d love for the kids to pick Trolls as the theme for their birthday party. Well, they didn’t. Ninja Turtles (chose by J and H) and My Little Pony (chose by S) is it. This should be interesting.
Previous years we have had their party in Nana and Papa’s basement. This year, we all wanted something different. After searching and asking for recommendations we chose a local bowling alley that also has an amazing bounce play area and a special room for parties! After their cousin’s bounce party it was all they could talk about. They had a great time and I wanted to make their party just as special for them!
five | summer vacation planning
The hubs and I decided to do big vacations every other year. Let’s face it, money doesn’t grow on trees and when you’re a family of 5 getting far, far from away from the Midwest isn’t cheap!
In 2015 we went to Destin and stayed in a condo. I love, love, love the beach and want nothing more than for my kiddos to enjoy it too. They did not. The sand, yes. The ocean, not so much. I mean, they were only 2 at the time so what did I expect, really? Miss Sadie did end up sticking her toes in the water with me and letting Daddy carry her out a little farther, but that was it.
Since then, the kids have been talking about Alabama (we stopped there overnight on the way to Destin and on the way home). When I mean talking about it, I mean they tell me all the time they want to go to Alabama on vacation. So, now I want to go to Alabama – to the beach. When I talk to them about the ocean now they seem less scared and even a bit excited. So, now all I have to do is to talk Daddy into it. He’s not a huge fan on the beach but will do anything to make his family happy.
Any recommendations on where to go and where to stay for an Alabama beach vacay?
