It’s Friday, friends!
That means it’s time for another edition of Friday Five, where I will be sharing five things – new craft ideas, reasons I love my cheese, what our plans are for the weekend. Literally, anything.
If you want to keep up with what’s going on at the farm each day, pop on over to INSTAGRAM and follow us there. I share different things on all social media. Don’t miss out on some super cute pics and mama wisdom that may not make it on the blog!
one | national crayola crayon day
Thanks to Crayola I know this guy named Roy G. Biv! I love color (check out my For the Love of Color Pinterest board) and am excited to celebrate National Crayola Day today with the kids.
I’m going to pull out all our coloring books and a box of crayons and we’re going to color the day away. It’s therapeutic for me and at the end of the day we so much beautiful artwork to display around the house!
two | instant pot
I finally got one. It looks intimidating and I’m pretty much scared of it. It’s been staring at me for 3 days now. I’ve made an Instant Pot Pinterest board so, of course, I’m on my way to making quick and yummy dinners every night. Ha! Share your favorite recipes with me, please!
three | national cleaning week
Yay! It’s National Cleaning Week. I wasn’t even aware of this spectacular event until I found this list of unknown and bizarre holidays. I mean, how did I know this? This holiday I should be celebrating every year.
four | #tripletgreendoorphoto
About 18 months ago I took a picture of the triplets in front of our newly painted garage side door and posted it on Instagram. And then I took another and another and another. Hence, the hashtag #tripletgreendoorphoto. Since then I have posted 60 of the most adorable pics of the kids standing in front of the door.
I love looking back at the pictures to see how much they have grown. Gah. They are so stinkin’ cute. These three are a few of my favorites!
five | counting crows
Earlier this week I was just innocently browsing the internet when I came across the most amazing thing I have seen in a long time – Counting Crows and Matchbox 20 in concert together. And I bought tickets…
Gah! I’m so stinkin’ excited!
Hey, Dad! I won’t complain at all about having to see Counting Crows in concert now.
Of course, I’m no longer that 14-year-old girl that was super mad because she had to miss a friend’s birthday party to see some band that she had never heard of at the Shryock Auditorium at Southern Illinois University Carbondale because her dad was a music freak and made her do things like that.
I did end up getting a t-shirt after the concert. I still have it today. It’s very worn and has a few holes in it, but I love, love, love the memory it holds.
So, 23+ years later I will be seeing them again because of you, Dad. Thank you.
Side note: I just looked up the exact date of that infamous concert – February 26, 1994. The triplets were born exactly 19 years later.
